Reviewed by CA Naveen Pandey on 22 October 2026

Many businesses update their books only when the audit is near or the bank asks for numbers. By then a year of entries is pending, GST returns do not match the ledger, and nobody can say what the profit was last month. Our accounting and bookkeeping services in Delhi fix this with a fixed monthly routine. Your entries are posted and checked every month, and you can ask for a report on sales, expenses, cash and dues at any time. The year-end accounts are ready when your auditor asks for them.

Monthly close

How We Close Your Books Every Month

A monthly close means every entry for the month is posted, the bank is reconciled and the numbers are checked before the GST and TDS dates. This is the routine we follow for each client.

WhenWhat happens
First week of the monthYou send last month's sales invoices, purchase bills, bank statements and expense bills
By the 7thTDS for last month deposited (30 April for March)
By the 11thGSTR-1 filed for monthly filers
Before GSTR-3BInput tax credit in the books matched with GSTR-2B; differences listed for you
By the 20thGSTR-3B filed after you approve the tax payable
After the filingsBank reconciliation completed; MIS report sent whenever you need it

Quarterly filers under the QRMP scheme follow different GST dates. We set the calendar for your registration on the first day. For all due dates through the year, see our accounting services in Vikaspuri page, which has the full monthly, quarterly and yearly calendar.

Client profile

Who We Keep Books for in Delhi

Each type of business keeps money in a different way, so we set up the books differently for each. These are the businesses we work with most.

Wholesale traders in Delhi's markets

Many of our clients are wholesalers of textiles, garments, fabric, electronics and electricals. They trade from markets such as Gandhi Nagar, Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Tank Road, Nehru Place and Lajpat Nagar. Wholesale books run on credit, so we track party-wise balances (udhaar) and match every e-way bill with its invoice. We also check that GSTR-1 matches GSTR-3B every month, so mismatch notices are less likely.

Manufacturers and exporters

We keep books for manufacturing units in plastics and packaging, food processing, garments and electrical goods, in areas such as Bawana, Narela, Okhla, Naraina and Patparganj. A factory needs raw material, work-in-progress and finished stock tracked every month, and cost records that show the margin on each product. For exporters, we also file the LUT and prepare GST refund claims.

E-commerce sellers and D2C brands

Online brands selling on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho or their own Shopify website need the most reconciliation work. Marketplaces pay after cutting commission, shipping and storage charges, so we break down every settlement and book each charge. We match Razorpay, Paytm and cash-on-delivery receipts with the bank, add returned stock back to inventory, and adjust GST on returns. If your stock sits in warehouses in other states, we handle the GST registration and returns for each state. We work with sellers from Okhla, Netaji Subhash Place and Kirti Nagar, and online with brands in Noida and Gurugram.

Private limited companies and startups

A company's books must be ready for the statutory audit and the yearly ROC returns. Since 1 April 2023, every company must keep its books in software that records an audit trail (edit log) of every change. This log cannot be switched off. We keep your books in Tally Prime with the edit log on.

We track board meeting dates, AOC-4 and MGT-7 with your annual compliance of company work, and founders get an MIS report whenever they need one. If you are just starting, we can register your company and move you straight into monthly books.

Restaurants, cloud kitchens and event planners

Restaurants and cloud kitchens receive Zomato and Swiggy payouts every week, after commission and other deductions. We match each payout with sales, keep raw material stock, and apply the GST rules for restaurant services. For wedding and event planners, we keep the books event by event. Vendor advances are tracked, and the profit on each event is clear.

LLPs and partnership firms

For an LLP or a partnership firm, the partners' capital and current accounts need care. We record each partner's capital, drawings, interest and remuneration as the deed allows. For LLPs, the year-end accounts go into Form 8 and the annual return into Form 11, and we prepare both with your LLP annual filing.

Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies and NRI-owned businesses

A company with a foreign parent or NRI shareholders has extra reporting. Every payment to the parent, such as management charges, royalty or reimbursements, must be recorded clearly, because it becomes a related party transaction for transfer pricing compliance. Companies with foreign investment also file the annual FLA return with the RBI by 15 July. We keep the books so these filings match.

We also help foreign companies set up in India and then keep their books here.

Turnover

What Changes in Your Accounts as Your Turnover Grows

Our clients range from small shops to companies with a turnover of over Rs 500 crore. As turnover grows, the law asks for more, and the books must be ready for it.

Turnover (in a financial year)What changes
Above Rs 1 croreTax audit under Section 63 (formerly Section 44AB) of the Income-tax Act, 2025. The limit is Rs 10 crore if cash receipts and payments each stay within 5%
Up to Rs 5 croreYou can choose quarterly GST returns under the QRMP scheme
Above Rs 5 croreE-invoicing for B2B sales, and a GSTR-9C reconciliation statement with the annual return
Rs 5 crore to Rs 50 croreCost records, factory payroll and export refunds usually need monthly attention
Above Rs 50 croreInternal controls, inventory across locations and reporting for banks or a foreign parent

Larger clients we work with include private hospitals and clinics, automobile dealerships and software exporters. For them, we also handle payroll for large teams, reconciliation of manufacturer incentives and foreign currency entries.

Takeover

Books Behind Schedule? How We Take Over and Clean Them Up

If your books are months behind or your last accountant has left, we start by fixing the past and then move you to the monthly routine. Here is how the takeover works.

  1. 1
We collect what exists. Your Tally or Busy backup, Excel sheets, bank statements and the last filed balance sheet and ITR.
  2. 2
We check the opening balances. The books must start from the figures in your last filed balance sheet. If they do not, we find out why.
  3. 3
We reconcile month by month. Each bank account is matched month by month, and missing entries are added.
  4. 4
We match with portal data. Sales and purchases in the books are compared with the GST portal, AIS and Form 26AS. You get a list of every difference and what it means.
  5. 5
We start the monthly close. Once the past is clean, your books move to the routine above.

Do not wait too long. A GST return cannot be filed once three years have passed from its due date. Credit or sales left out of old returns may then be lost for good.

From our practice

A client earning commission income had filed his return under Section 44AD (now Section 58), a scheme that does not apply to commission income. He then received a scrutiny notice under Section 143(2) of the Income-tax Act, 1961 for AY 2024-25. He had no books, only Excel sheets, sales bills without a serial series and bank entries he could not explain. Collecting his records took about two weeks. We matched his sales and purchases with GST portal, AIS and Form 26AS data, prepared proper books for the year and mapped every bank entry to a transaction. The rebuild took about two months. The case closed in about a year with no addition, and his income as per books was accepted.

  • Records: about 2 weeks
  • Books rebuilt: about 2 months
  • Result: no addition

Outsourced Accounting or an In-house Accountant in Delhi?

It depends on how many entries you have each day. A business with heavy daily billing may need someone in-house. For most companies, LLPs and startups, accounting outsourcing is the simpler choice. A team checks the work and handles the year-end accounts and audit support.

Many of our clients do both. A junior accountant in the office handles billing and cash, and we review the books every month and handle filings and year-end work.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is recording every transaction: sales, purchases, expenses and bank entries. Accounting uses those records to close the month, prepare the profit and loss account and balance sheet, and report the numbers. A business needs both. We do the bookkeeping every month and then prepare the accounts and reports from it.

Do you provide accounting services across Delhi or only in West Delhi?

We provide accounting services in Delhi to businesses in every part of the city. Our office is in Vikaspuri, so clients in West Delhi often visit us. Clients in other parts of Delhi send documents on WhatsApp or email and speak to us on calls. The monthly routine, the filings and the reports are the same for every client.

Can you take over our books from the previous accountant in the middle of the year?

Yes. We take your data backup and bank statements, check the opening balances against your last filed balance sheet, and reconcile the months already done. We also compare the GST returns already filed with your books. Once the past months are clean, we continue the monthly work from there.

Which accounting software do you use?

Our team works on Tally Prime and Busy. If your books are already on one of these, we usually continue in the same data file. For companies, we keep the edit log (audit trail) switched on, as the Companies Act rules require.

How often should bookkeeping be done?

Bookkeeping should be done at least every month. GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B are due every month for most businesses, and TDS is deposited monthly. If entries wait until the year end, GST mismatches and missing bills are found too late to fix easily. Monthly books also give you a real picture of profit and cash.

Can you handle Amazon, Flipkart and Shopify payouts?

Yes. We break down each marketplace settlement into sales, commission, shipping, storage charges and TCS, and book each one. We match Razorpay, Paytm and cash-on-delivery receipts with your bank, and add returned stock back to inventory. If you have stock in other states, we file GST for each registration.

What reports do you prepare?

We prepare an MIS report whenever you ask for it. It shows sales, expenses, profit, cash and bank balances, and amounts pending from customers and to suppliers. You also get a summary of GST and TDS paid. If your bank, investors or a foreign parent company need a report, we prepare it in the format they ask for.

Do you keep books for companies owned by foreign or NRI shareholders?

Yes. We keep books for Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies and for companies with NRI shareholders. We record payments to the parent company clearly for transfer pricing. We also keep records for the annual FLA return to the RBI and prepare year-end accounts for the Indian audit.
